Here I am!
It was actually not that bad and I'm not claustrophobic yay! I got earplugs, a nice warm blanket and my hands went numb from being in one position for so long. At one point it felt like a massage as the whole slab I was on was vibrating and jerking at intevals. A very noisy experience indeed, the Spousal Unit likened it to listening to trance music, which is actually an accurate description if the DJ in question is a not too gifted five year old, which is probably why I did not feel like spinning poi to it.
I think I may have taken Keifel's advice and napped somewhat because I was most surprised when it was time to come out, not to mention a little reluctant...did I mention I got a nice warm blanket?
Predictably as soon as she put on the head piece I got an itch on my nose and then throughout the proceedure itches in various places, thankfully I resisted all temptation to scratch. Oh speaking of the head piece, there was a little mirror on it so that you could see the technician behind you, so you won't be lonely she says. It was a nice touch, nevermind my eyes were closed for the majority of the proceedure.
So, results on Monday, this is good. I'm anxious to find out what's wrong, find a solution and begin to enjoy the baser things in life once more, not to mention to be able to do legitimate exercise as well...*tugs at clothes*

Why does that always happen... when they say stay still some itch comes. Im glad you got thru good ... and yaaay you're not claustrophobic. That mirror thing is a good idea though....lol

Penze: yes the mirror was a great idea, when the SU had his own done they didn't have the head piece or mirror though so I guess he was just stuck either with his eyes closed or looking at the walls

OMG ... I did ah MRI once .... years ago ... fuh de same reason .... terrible headaches .... and yes ... it was quite costly then .... $3500 .... thank god .... de only ting dey found was meh ole brain ... but it was the most uncomfortable procedure ... in the most cram up straight jacket machine .... an' ah doh mean tuh sound morbid eh ... but dat had tuh be how it does feel tuh be in ah coffin .... as soon as I got in .... I wanted tuh burst out!!
